We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this incredible event to life—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
The Pan-Pacific Festival has also been a generous supporter of our signature project, Megabon, so this is a great opportunity to give back and show our appreciation while being part of something meaningful.
As a volunteer, you’ll not only play a key role in making the festival a success, but you’ll also enjoy some great perks, including an exclusive Pan-Pacific Festival T-shirt, a meal and drink, and parking.

while getting your hands in a fun-filled event.

Walk down driveway to the tented meeting area
Tasks may include:
Weeding
Moving mangrove (in mud)
Lifting/moving rock or coral
Removing invasive jellyfish
Expect wet and muddy conditions (fishpond and surrounding land)
Required:
Closed-toe shoes (no Crocs or sandals)
If you have Tabis are recommended
Clothes you don't mind getting wet/muddy
Bring:
Extra socks (for use with provided waders)
Full water bottle (enough for ~3 hours)
Reusable mess kit for lunch:
Plate/bowl/tupperware
Spoon or fork

At the door to district, if memory serves correct, they’ll scan your QR ticket and 21+ ID you.

A mysterious case has shaken the streets of Honolulu… and Detective Pikachu needs your help.
Clues have been scattered across the city, hidden within challenges, puzzles, and unexpected encounters. Teams of skilled trainers must venture out, complete missions, and gather points to unlock the secrets behind the case.
But be warned…
Only those who prove their skill and teamwork will uncover enough clues to move forward.
Earn enough points, and new clues will be revealed.
Conquer entire regions, and earn the chance to challenge a Pokémon Gym.
Only the strongest teams will make it to the end… and help Detective Pikachu crack the case.

We have been offered a chance to help volunteer with this year's Kawaii Kon.
Normal volunteer registration has closed but thanks to JCI honolulu members Kristi and Royce,
they are giving us a chance to still volunteer.

Once you are assigned to a department, you will work out a schedule with the department lead.
They are asking for 15 hours minimum during the weekend.
They will collect a $40 deposit which will be refunded once you have volunteered the 15 hours.

Here are a few key tournament details to know:
Cost: $180 per team or $30 per player, whichever is greater
Who Can Play: Open to HJJCC members and invited JCI chapter member teams
Team Size: 6 players per game, with up to 2 alternates allowed (8 players max per team)
Coed Rule: Each team must have at least 2 men and 2 women on the court at all times
One Team Rule: Players may only register for one team
Membership Requirement: All players must be current members of their chapter and remain so throughout the tournament
Team Uniforms:
Guidelines for team uniforms, along with rules and tournament information are attached.

JCCH (Japanese Cultural Center Hawaii) Irasshai
Join us in volunteering for the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii's Irasshai fundraiser. Irasshai is an amazing event where the center is filled with various food and drink vendors.
Attendees purchase a $180 ticket to come and try the food to their hearts content.
In all previous years, there has been more than enough food for attendees and volunteers are able to enjoy trying the various restaurants towards the end of the night. After personally experiencing JCI Honolulu's outstanding volunteers helping at other JCCH events, they have extended an invitation to us to volunteer for this event.
JCCH is looking for volunteers for various shifts. From guest check-in to entertainment/stage management.

JASH Japan Wizards Competition 2026

Location: UH Mānoa Campus Center
High school academic team competition, testing students’ knowledge of Japanese language, art, culture, economy, food, geography, history, politics & government, religion, U.S./Hawaii-Japan ties. Top 2 private school and top 2 public school teams win a cultural immersion trip to Japan sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines.
● Need volunteers for: (1) Competition Panels [judge, moderator, timer, score keeper], (2) Registration staff, (3) Activity Center, and (4) College fair

Community Work Day with Hoʻoulu ʻĀina

Come together with Hoʻoulu ʻĀina on their hāna kahe wai workday to help restore Kalihi’s watershed. Engage in mālama ʻāina practices such as organic reforestation, gardening, and cultural sharing.
Please wear boots and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and be prepared to use tools such as picks, shovels, ʻōʻō, and machetes (if you have your own, please bring!!).

Feel the powerful rhythm of the taiko! JCI Honolulu invites you to an energetic, hands-on workshop where you'll learn the fundamentals of traditional Japanese drumming.
In this workshop, members of Ewa Fukushima Bon Dance Club will guide you through:
Basic stances and striking techniques
Simple, foundational rhythms
The spirit and teamwork of taiko
No experience is necessary—just bring your energy and enthusiasm! This is a fantastic opportunity to try something new, connect with the community, and make some noise.
