Hawaii Kai Jaycees X Mō‘ili‘ili Hongwanji "Summer Festival"
The Hawaii Kai Jaycees and their community partners have reached out requesting help with their annual Summer Fest/bon dance.
Please consider helping as they have been a big support to our chapter with Megabon.
The 13th Annual Mō‘ili‘ili Summer Fest & Bon Dance returns home to 1100 University Ave. at the Waiānuenue ma Kapaʻakea Parking Lot (the old Varsity Building parking lot & Coyne St.) in the heart of Mōʻiliʻili on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
We are once again seeking volunteers to help make this community event a success. Volunteers are an important part of this event, and we greatly appreciate everyone willing to lend a hand.
Volunteer help is needed for:
Friday, July 3
· Food Prep
· Event Setup
· PM Parking Assistance
Saturday, July 4 (Various Areas and Shifts)
At Temple:
· Kitchen Help
· Spam Musubi Making
· Mochi Making
At Varsity Site:
· Set Up & Breakdown
· Concession Booths
· Retail Tent
· Parking
· Shuttle Assistance
· Transport/Drivers
· Volunteer Check-In
· Yagura Pathway Clearing
· Vendor Placement & Parking
Sunday, July 5
· Bon Dance Clean Up at Temple
Additional help may also be needed throughout the event for general support.
Food and refreshments will be provided for volunteers.
